Course Goals and Objectives

The nationwide emergence of vaping, CBD, medical marijuana, recreational marijuana has many dental ramifications.  Drugs have caused an alarming 100,000 deaths in 2021.  Intraoral disease states have multiplied.  Proper patient management, surgical and pain control issues have surfaced. The role of the dental practitioner and the implications of Vaping, CBD, Medical and Recreational Marijuana on dental practice will be discussed.

 

The New York State constituent of the Academy of General Dentistry is an approved program provider.  The sponsor’s formal CDE programs are acceptable by the AGD for Fellowship and Mastership and membership maintenance credit.  This course is also acceptable for MCE Licensing Maintenance.  The current term of approval extends from 01/01/21 to 12/31/22.  AGD Code #219318.
