Presentation by Dr. Monica Bebawy

Dr. Monica Bebawy is a graduate of NYU College of Dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center. She practices dentistry in New York City. Dr. Bebawy is the Director of Digital Dentistry for the Department of General Dentistry and Comprehensive Care; she is also the co-director of the General Dentistry Simulation Program. She plays a pivotal role in integrating and advancing the use of digital technologies within the
dental education curriculum. Dr. Bebawy serves as the faculty advisor of the Digital Dentistry Club as well as a faculty mentor for the Dental Academic Research Experience. She is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Dentistry and Oral Health.

Course Goals and Objectives

Objectives:
- To review a digital dentistry workflow and the latest technology intraoral scanners are implementing
- To present the latest literature regarding intraoral scanning accuracy (analog v digital and brand v brand)
- To compare popular intraoral scanners
- To review best practices for intraoral scanning

- Choose the intraoral scanner best suited to them and their practice
- Implement tips for efficient intraoral scanning


The New York State constituent of the Academy of General Dentistry is an approved program provider.  The sponsor’s formal CDE programs are acceptable by the AGD for Fellowship and Mastership and membership maintenance credit.  This course is also acceptable for MCE Licensing Maintenance.  The current term of approval extends from 01/01/23 to 12/31/24.  AGD Code #219318.
