Presentation by: Ryan Hungate, DDS

Dr. Ryan Hungate is a graduate of University of Indiana Dental School (’12) and University of Southern California School of Orthodontics (’15). Prior to entering the dental profession, Dr. Hungate worked at Apple where he helped create and standardize the Apple Retail Workflow across all Apple Store locations nationwide. 

In 2014, Dr. Hungate founded Simplifeye, a health-tech startup focused on improving the business operations of dental practices. With Dr. Hungate as the CSO, Simplifeye has raised investments from the same Silicon Valley investors behind Uber, Fitbit, and Dollar Shave Club and have software implemented in over 1,500 practices nationwide. In addition to his work at Simplifeye, Dr. Hungate still practices a number of days each month performing pro-bono work on under-privileged youth in Inglewood, CA

Course Goals and Objectives

Learn how and when you need to raise money for your business and learn how to speak with some of the greatest investors in Silicon Valley.  You could call this “Shark Tank 101”, but that’s just a TV show.  We will be addressing the “Big Show,” Silicon Valley. This lecture will discuss how to utilize amazing new technologies to grow and maintain your business and how to hire and retain the best talent in the world.
