She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR). Dr. Khurana earned her Master’s degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2021 and holds a Master’s degree in Dental Surgery (Oral Medicine and Radiology) from Goa Dental College in India. Her teaching portfolio includes roles as instructor for radiology-focused courses at NYU, in addition to previous faculty positions at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and Goa Dental College. With specialization in CBCT and panoramic imaging, Dr. Khurana is involved in research and has published on topics such as craniofacial morphology and advanced imaging technologies. Dr. Khurana is a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International and an active member of key professional organizations, including the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and the European Society of Radiology. She has been recognized with several prestigious awards and has recently participated in a clinical trial for the FDA approval of an AI software in dental imaging. Course Objective Description: This course provides general dentists with essential training in panoramic and Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) imaging. Through interactive lecture and hands-on session, participants will learn to effectively interpret, and apply panoramic and CBCT images in their clinical practice. Key topics include radiographic principles, anatomical identification, diagnostic interpretation, and clinical applications in implantology, and endodontics. Special emphasis will be placed on radiation safety and the minimization of patient exposure.
