The New York AGD Learning Center Presents "Overview of Diabetes Care for the Practicing Dentist" Date: Wednesday, June 24, 2020 Course 7:00pm to 8:00pm Course Code: 754 Presentation by: Judith Hey-Hadavi DDS, MD, MSc Dr. Juliana (Judith) Hey-Hadavi was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After obtaining her dental and medical degrees at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, she moved to Canada where she continued her medical training in Internal Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. In 1994, she relocated to New York, where she completed her fellowship training in Endocrinology at the Columbia University. She enjoys teaching and continues lecturing over the years as adjunct professor at SUNY Downstate University and Columbia University in New York. She is board certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. Course Goals and Objectives: This program will help the practicing dentist to be more prepared for dealing with patients with diabetes. It is a practical course with clinical examples that can happen in your daily practice. Examples of question you will be able to answer after completion of the program include:
- What to expect when a dental patient has diabetes? - Which diabetes complications can influence your treatment plan? - What are the myths and facts of patients with diabetes?
New York AGD is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit.
