About the Speaker:

K. Michael Ghalili, D.D.S., M.S.D.

Clinical Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, New York University College of Dentistry. Director, International Comprehensive and Restorative Dentistry Program, NYU College of Dentistry. Dr. Ghalili has been widely published, authoring several scientific papers in his field of research, and has lectured nationally and internationally on esthetic and restorative dentistry. Dr. Ghalili maintains a private practice, limited to prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry, in New York City.

Description:

This course will demonstrate the philosophies, techniques and theories necessary to implement esthetic dentistry into your dental practice. Porcelain laminate veneers can be used to make dramatic changes in tooth size, shape and color, and to correct esthetic imperfections. The goals and objectives of porcelain laminate veneers as a treatment modality will be discussed and evaluated at length, including the discussion of preparations, temporization, cementation and smile design. 

Participants will learn how porcelain laminate veneers can be used to:

  • close extensive diastemas
  • straighten teeth
  • correct minor mal-occlusion, cross-bites, class-three, tetracycline stains, short tooth syndromes; and
  • correct other functional concerns.

Course includes continential breakfast and Lunch

The New York State constituent of the Academy of General Dentistry is an approved program provider.  The sponsor’s formal CDE programs are acceptable by the AGD for Fellowship and Mastership and membership maintenance credit.  This course is also acceptable for MCE Licensing Maintenance.  The current term of approval extends from 01/01/11 to 12/31/14.  AGD Code #219318.
