The New York AGD Learning Center Presents "Interpretation of Common Radiographic Incidental Findings" Date: Friday, January 24, 2020 Location: 1902 Whitestone Epressway, Suite 204, Whitestone, NY 11357 Course 8:30am to 12:00pm Course Code: 130 Presentation by: Niloufar Amintavakoli, DDS, MSc, FRCD (C) Dr. Amintavakoli recieved her DDS degree at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBMU - Ex. National University) in Tehran, Iran in 2008 and her masters in oral and maxillofacial radiology from the University of Toronto, Canada in 2013. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR), a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR). She practiced as an Oral and maxillofacial radiologist in Toronto, Canada before joining New York University College of Dentistry in 2015. Dr. Amintavakoli is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology and Medicine and the Director of Oral Radiology at NYU College of Dentistry. She has several publications and book chapters, and has been active in multiple research projects in different fields related to oral and maxillofacial radiology. Course Goals and Objectives: It is common in dentistry to recognize findings on radiographs that are not related to the main clinical indication of imaging. In this lecture, I will discuss the variants of normal anatomy that can mimic pathology, lesions that can be found incidentally on dental radiographs and criteria for proper decision making in diagnosis of these incidental findings. This presentation will review the radiographic features of different types of pathology including inflammatory lesions, cysts, benign fibro-osseous lesions, benign and malignant neoplasms and will provide alternate strategies to make the correct differential diagnoses Learning objectives:
