About the Speakers:
Dr. Babak Bina
Dr. Bina received his DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed two years of General Practice Residency at Lutheran Medical Center. For the past 11 years Dr. Bina has served as the Director of General Practice Residency at NYU Lutheran. He currently held the position as a Treasurer of Second District Dental Society (SDDS), and serves on the Constitution and By Laws, Dental Health Planning, District Claims, Ethics and peer review committees.
Dr. Marc Kunin
Dr. Kunin received his DDS from the University of Maryland, his Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and his Masters in Medical Education from the University of the Pacific. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, as well as a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics. He has been in dental education for 25 years, the past 10 years as Associate Director of Post-Graduate Endodontics at NYU Lutheran. Dr. Kunin has lectured to dental residents as well as to the Second District Dental Society.
Course Description:
Stem cells can provide nearly limitless potential both in medicine and dentistry. This lecture will cover
- Current advances in stem cell research
- Stem cell indications in endodontics , treatment planning, prognosis and goals for apexification, apex genesis and pulpal regeneration
- Application of stem cells in operative and periodontal regeneration
The New York State constituent of the Academy of General Dentistry is an approved program provider. The sponsor’s formal CDE programs are acceptable by the AGD for Fellowship and Mastership and membership maintenance credit. This course is also acceptable for MCE Licensing Maintenance.
