Mr. Soshnick began his legal career in 1978 as a Nassau County Assistant District Attorney where he served the people of Nassau for seven years in the District Court, County Court, Grand Jury and Appeals Bureaus. After leaving the Nassau County Attorney's office in 1985, he opened an office of private practice law. He has been engaged in private law practice for more than 30 years with a major concentration in ligitation, both criminal and civil. He is licensed to practice law in all state courts in New York as well as federal courts in the eastern and southern districts of New York as well as numerous other federal jurisdictions. He has tried hundreds of criminal and civil cases over the past 37 years and continue to maintain an office to practice law in Mineola, New York.
Course Description
The lecture will cover courtroom procedure relating to expert witnesses; qualifications necessary to testify as an expert witness; typical questions asked on cross examination of the expert witness; how to enhance the credibility of the expert witness; and common pitfalls of the expert witness.
The New York State constituent of the Academy of General Dentistry is an approved program provider. The sponsor’s formal CDE programs are acceptable by the AGD for Fellowship and Mastership and membership maintenance credit. This course is also acceptable for MCE Licensing Maintenance. The current term of approval extends from 01/01/15 to 12/31/18. AGD Code #219318.
