Dr. DiDonato has an undergraduate degree in Education.  He has taught for over forty years in a GPR program. He has provided numerous courses and videos in the past twenty years, presenting at the GNYDM, AGD National Meeting and numerous constituent meetings.  He has authored articles for the AGD Impact magazine and the NYSAGD GP Journal. He has made presentations on clinical and business practice topics.  He is interested in helping clinicians who want to get on the lecture circuit.  He is an advocate for continuing education in all phases of the dentist career.

Course Goals and Objectives

In this four part series we will cover what does it mean to be a author, how do you become a author, how do you create a article and how do you publish it. You will also build all of the components you will need to solicit a writing invitation. At each session you will build a portion of your article as a 'project'. This project will be eligible for submission to the New York State Academy of General Dentistry communication committee for consideration as a contribution to our journal for publication. Eligible articles may be considered based upon the recommendation of the instructor and the Chair of the communication committee. Your participation is entirely voluntary, but is worth added credits.

Course Objectives:

  • Author a scholarly paper for the NYSAGD Journal.
  • Train on the process and necessary components of a scientific paper for publishing.
  • Master the format for a case study, literature review and technique expose for publication.
