Speaker: Glenna Chance, M.M

Glenna Chance, M.M., is a professional musician, environmental consultant, and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity advocate/activist. She is the founder and director of MCS, an agency which advocates for the MCS-disabled and their families who need assistance in finding housing, benefits, non-toxic products, and medical and legal resources. Her 2011 book, Which Poison Will Change Your Life?, is an internationally-recognized resource for medical professionals and their patients whose treatment and care depend on their understanding of environmental illness.


Ms. Chance will present background on multiple chemical sensitivity as it relates to the medical/dental setting and will provide in-depth dental-specific information with the goal of successful treatment and a mutually beneficial and ongoing dentist/patient relationship.

  • The dental office/clinic setting - what to expect in an appointment with the MCS patient

  • How, with preliminary preparation, dentists can lessen treatment anxiety for themselves, their staff, and the MCS patient

  • Serving the underserved - medical considerations are no different for the MCS patient than they are for any other special needs patient

New York AGD is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or AGD endorsement.  The current term of approval extends from 01/01/2021 to 12/31/2022.
