Course Objectives:
This topic discusses the impact of different materials used in a Post & Core procedure, to possess a synergistic or optimal Modulus Of Elasticity (MOE). This unified/optimal MOE if achieved, will increase the likelihood of a positive long-term clinical prognosis for the case. Today’s pre-fabricated posts that utilize a variety of different substrates that require different pre-treatment and placement protocols. A summary of best placement methodologies to optimize a favorable clinical outcome will be shared.
This lecture will conclude with the newly introduced “GT” (glass bundled) fiber system. This system introduces a paradigm shift in the pre-fabricated category offering an ultra-conservative, stress and drill free, reinforcement technology.
After the session, the attendees will have a clearer understanding of the materials offered and the potential for inclusion in their practice.
