With over ten years of experience working with patients of various ages and diagnoses in New York premier hospitals, including NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases and Hospital for Special Surgery, Efrat has mastered the understanding of how the body moves and what it takes to improve one’s posture. Efrat values education and keeps herself abreast of cutting edge treatment and techniques. Some of her certifications include Board Certified Pediatrics Clinical Specialist (PCS), Neuro Developmental Treatment (C/NDT), and the Schroth Method. She currently is working towards her certification in NAIOMT manual therapy and is a member of the APTA

Course Goals and Objectives:

They will learn to identify normal vs. abnormal posture, assessment tools, strategies to improve dental ergonomics, and foster collaborate care for their patients.

5 learning outcomes:

1) Describe a basic understanding of posture and its relationship to performance of dentists and patients

2) Identify normal vs. abnormal posture as it presents in the dental office

3) Utilize basic visual assessment tools of posture

4) Relate assessment findings to problem solving and development of treatment protocols with the healthcare team

5) Identify changes that can be made in dental practices to promote collaborative care

New York AGD is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or AGD endorsement.  The current term of approval extends from 01/01/2019 to 12/31/2020.
