Presentation by: Eric S. Studley, DDS. & Ivy D. Peltz, DDS, M.S.Ed., Ph.D. 

Dr. Ivy Peltz and Dr. Eric Studley have been in the dental recruitment industry for 20+ years counseling students and clients on how to navigate finding the right dental job or hiring the right dental candidate.  They are the co-founders of Doccupations, an algorithmic dental job matching website (www.doccupations.com).   Doccupations delivers a dental recruitment management tool to both dental job seekers and dental employers with a real time matching product.  

 

Dr. Ivy Peltz and Dr. Eric Studley were both GP directors and clinical associate professors at New York University College of Dentistry, where Dr. Studley was the director of the practice management curriculum.  Dr. Studley is also the CEO of a nationally based insurance brokerage company specializing in the insurance and financial needs of dentists (www.drericstudley.com). Dr. Peltz has a private practice in New York City (www.ivypeltzdds.com). They are both regular contributors to Mouthing Off – The Blog of the American Student Dental Association.

Course Goals and Objectives:

  • What to say and do at an interview
  • How to negotiate (and whether you need) a contract
  • Methods of compensation
  • State requirements for licensure
  • Insurance needs
