Presentation by Dr. Gerard Kugel
Gerard Kugel, DMD, MS, Ph.D. FAGD, Associate Dean for Research, and Professor of Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.  With an expertise in Clinical Research and Esthetic Dentistry, he is a reviewer for The New England Journal of Medicine, JADA, The Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, Esthetic Technique and CRA. He is on the Editorial Board of Functional Esthetics & Restorative Dentistry, The Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, and The Journal of Adhesive Dentistry and he is Editor -in- Chief of Inside Dentistry.  He is a Fellow in the American and International Colleges of Dentistry as well as the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Dental Materials. Dr Kugel is on the Board of Directors of the CRA and has his M.S. in Anatomy and Cellular Biology and his Ph.D. in Dental Materials.
 
 
Course Objective and Goals
This two day seminar will highlight the latest information and evidence on a variety of esthetic dentistry related topics and clinical procedures. This course will provide relevant clinical information to assist dentists in their everyday practice.

A comprehensive review of core principles of esthetic dentistry related to tooth form and function - tooth position, occlusal function.  
Most important, what you need to know to stay out of trouble.
All-ceramic options for indirect anterior and posterior restorations.
What to do and when to use them.
Porcelain laminate veneers, what not to do.
Digital impression making and chairside CAD/CAM, has it’s time finally come?
Advances in adhesive dentistry. Are the new generations all they are claimed to be?

Participants will receive up to 34 MCE Participation Credit Hours Towards Mastership Upon Completion of Their Presentation at the Fall 2010 Empire State Masters Program
 
The Empire State Mastership Track is a “Protocol” program that complies with the standards and guidelines of AGD’s Council on Dental Education. In order to receive full participation credit the participant will be required to do a case presentation based on an in-office procedure that reflects the material taught by the instructor. The fee for this program includes the case presentation session, held approximately 6 months after the initial meeting.  This program is open to all dentists including pre-fellows as credit is applied towards Mastership.
 
New York State constituent of the Academy of General Dentistry is an approved PACE provider.  The sponsor's formal CDE programs are acceptable by the AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and maintenance credit and accepted by the New York State Board for Dentistry.  Approval does not imply acceptance by other states of provincial board of dentistry. The current term of approval extends from 1/01/07 to 12/31/10.  AGD Code#219318
